Get your PADI Open Water Certification in Bali! If you have ever wanted to learn to scuba dive in Bali – then this is where the adventure starts! By completing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the world’s most popular scuba diving certification, you will be qualified to scuba dive all over the world! The PADI Diving Certificate can be obtained here at our Bali Dive Centre with our experienced team of PADI Dive Instructors.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular and widely recognized entry-level scuba diving certification worldwide. It provides you with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to become a certified diver. Here's what you can expect from the PADI Open Water course:

  1. Course Structure: The PADI Open Water course consists of knowledge development, confined water (pool) sessions, and open water dives. The course typically takes around 2-3 days to complete, depending on the schedule and pace of the course. This includes the theory that you do in your own time and pace.
  2. Knowledge Development: You will learn scuba diving principles through self-study using the PADI Open Water Diver manual or e-learning materials. The materials cover topics such as dive theory, equipment, dive planning, and safety procedures. If necessary, you will also review this knowledge with your instructor through classroom sessions or online discussions.
  3. Confined Water Sessions: In confined water sessions, usually conducted in a pool, you'll practice and develop essential scuba skills under the guidance of a certified PADI instructor. These sessions will help you become comfortable with your scuba equipment, practice essential skills, and build confidence underwater.
  4. Open Water Dives: You'll complete a series of open water dives to apply the skills you've learned in a real diving environment. Typically, you'll complete 4 open water dives, each lasting around 40-60 minutes. These dives will be conducted in an open water setting, such as the ocean, under the supervision of your instructor. During the dives, you'll demonstrate the skills learned during the confined water sessions and explore the underwater world.
  5. Certification: Upon successful completion of the knowledge development, confined water sessions, and open water dives, you'll be awarded the PADI Open Water Diver certification. This certification allows you to dive independently with a buddy, rent diving equipment, and explore dive sites around the world (within the limits of your training and experience).
  6. Continuing Education: The PADI Open Water certification is just the beginning of your scuba diving journey. Once certified, you can further your diving skills and knowledge by taking specialty courses, advanced courses, and even becoming a professional diver through PADI's educational pathway.

To enroll in the PADI Open Water course, you typically need to be at least 10 years old and in good physical health.

The PADI Open Water course offers a comprehensive introduction to scuba diving and serves as a solid foundation for your future diving adventures. It's an exciting opportunity to explore the underwater world, gain confidence, and become part of the global diving community.
