Discovery Scuba Diving (DSD) is a program that allows individuals with little or no prior diving experience to try scuba diving under the guidance of a certified instructor.

What to Expect:

1. Briefing and Theory: Before the dive, you'll receive a briefing from your instructor. They will explain the basic principles of scuba diving, including equipment usage, underwater communication, and important safety guidelines. You'll also learn about the effects of pressure on the body and basic diving techniques.
2. Equipment Introduction: Your instructor will familiarize you with the scuba diving equipment you'll be using during the dive. This typically includes a mask, fins, buoyancy control device (BCD), regulator, and a tank of compressed air. They will demonstrate how to properly assemble, wear, and use the equipment.
3. Skills Practice in the Pool: To ensure your safety and comfort underwater, you'll have an opportunity to practice essential diving skills in a pool. These skills may include mask clearing, regulator retrieval, buoyancy control, and underwater communication signals. Your instructor will guide you through each skill and provide assistance as needed.
4. Open Water Dive: After the skills practice in the pool, you'll embark on a guided open water dive under the direct supervision of our instructor. They will take you to a suitable dive site where you can explore the underwater world and experience the thrill of breathing underwater. Your instructor will be by your side throughout the dive, ensuring your safety and pointing out interesting marine life and underwater features.

It's important to note that the Discovery Scuba Diving program is an introductory experience and not a certification course. If you decide to pursue scuba diving further, you can choose to enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course, which is a comprehensive certification program that allows you to dive independently with a buddy.
